While today is Sunday, the flight simulation add-on developers certainly don’t stop for something as minor as the weekend, and so there are still news and releases to enjoy.
As usual, here on Simulation Daily, we publish a daily recap will all the flight simulation news we can get our hands on.
Yet, before we get down to business, you may want to check out more flight simulation news we published earlier today.
Without further ado, you can enjoy the news below.
Freeware Boeing KC-46 Pegasus Showcased
Lunar Simulations, which announced its freeware Boeing 767 project a while ago, announced on its Discord Server that it will actually release the Boeing KC-46 Pegasus military tanker version first.
The aircraft is developed in partnership with Delta Simulations, known among other things for its freeware C-17. It will have a functional aircraft refueling station and a fully modeled and textured interior.
As you can see above, texturing is currently in progress for the passenger area and flight deck, while the cargo deck has been nearly completed.
After this aircraft is completed, the developer plans to move on to the 767-300F freighter variant.
Naha Airport Release Date Teased
MK Studios announced its rendition of Naha Airport (ROAH) serving Okinawa in Japan just yesterday, and today the developer teased the release date with its usual countdown in days.
We’re at 4 days to go, which means that the airport should be released on Thursday, August 8.
Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport Gets New Screenshots
From the extreme southwest of Japan, we move to the extreme northeast as Gate15 Scenery released a couple of screenshots of its Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport (RJCN) in Hokkaido.
The images are a bit peculiar but certainly interesting, showing a flight simulator station that passengers can enjoy while visiting or waiting for their flights. This is actually pretty widespread in Japanese airports.
In the meantime, we learn that the developer is working on completing the terminal.
Palm Beach International Airport Gets New Screenshots
A couple of screenshots also come from VerticalSim, showing off its upcoming Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) in Florida, United States.
Hemet-Ryan Airport Released
Flyin J Simulations released Hemet-Ryan Airport (KHMT) in California, United States.
The airport, which is well-known as being a main base for Cal Fire Air Attack, is currently available on Simmarket for $14.52. It comes with the following perks.
