Free Fairey Swordfish Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator

DSD Simulations released a glorious World War II biplane for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Fairey Swordfish Mk.I.

The best part of the deal is that this iconic carrier-borne torpedo bomber is completely free, available for download on Flightsim.to.

It comes with the following features:

  • High-Quality Model: Retains the detailed design from the original Flying Stations/Bravo Zulu creation, converted to native GLTF format on the inside and outside.
  • Upscaled liveries: All liveries upscaled to 4K from the original FSX addon.
  • Functional Cockpit: Fully functional cockpit with working instruments and controls.
  • Historical Accuracy: Features and design elements that reflect the original aircraft, such as multiplayer visible wing folding (operated by the knob on the upper wing) and tailhook animations.

Parallel 42 Teases a New Aircraft

Today the developers at Parallel 42 posted a tease on their social media account, showing a recording session at an airport in collaboration with Echo19.

Echo 19 is an audio production studio that works with many top aircraft developers in the industry, and this seems to indicate that a new aircraft is in development.

Given the location and what is briefly seen in the clip, it’s likely a general aviation aircraft, but this is just my speculation and we’ll have to wait and see. As a matter of fact, even the idea that it’s an aircraft is my speculation, but it seems probable.
