Square Enix has brought down the servers of its popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV to implement update 7.05, and the patch notes have been released.
The new update brings plenty of new content and features, including the much-anticipated Savage version of the AAC Light-heavyweight Tier raids, alongside their rewards (IL 735 for weapons and 730 for the rest of the gear)
We’re also getting new tomestones of heliometry to collect and spend, a new Treasure dungeon, new furniture items and crafting recipes, and more, on top of a healthy ration of bug fixes.
Various jobs are also receiving plenty of tweaks. Some, like Paladin, Dark Knight, and Viper are getting buffed quite considerably.
To find out every little detail about the update, you can find the full patch notes on the official Lodestone website.
While the servers are down at the moment of this writing, the lights should be turned back on by 3:00 a.m. PDT. At that point, the race to complete the Savage raids before everyone else will begin among the top Free Companies.
The patch will become available to download before the servers go back online. We’ll update this article when it becomes available, so you can download it and get ready when the game reopens for business later today.
Update: the patch is now available for download, weighing 554 Megabytes on PC. You can download it automatically by starting the launcher and entering your credentials.
Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S. The new expansion, titled “Dawntrail” was released just a month ago, and you can read more about it in our article discussing its main character, Wuk Lamat.
