Today, SNK announced another guest character who will join the cast of its latest fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
This time around, we’re not talking about a real-world has-been footballer or a relatively obscure DJ, thank goodness.
The new character is the star of a famous manga and anime franchise, Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, known in the West as Fist of the North Star.
He will be released as the last character of Season Pass 2 in June. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how Kenshiro will fit into the Fatal Fury story.
It’s worth mentioning that we already know that the character who will come out in April is Wolfgang Krauser, following the recently released Blue Mary. On the other hand, we don’t yet know who the character coming in May will be.
To celebrate the announcement, SNK released a trailer, which you can watch below. And yes, Kenshiro does say his famous “Omae wa mou, shindeiru” catchphrase. That’s just a classic.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It’s the sequel to the old and glorious Fatal Fury series, known in Japan as Garou Densetsu (Legend of the Hungry Wolf).
The franchise, which spanned the Neo Geo era before going dormant, is not only known and loved by many fans for its gameplay but also for its intricate storytelling and interesting characters, albeit the new one may have overdone the “Interesting” a little bit. Yes. I’m doing the sarcasm thing.
