Today, Giants Software showcased its latest preview for its upcoming Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas expansion.
Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas is set to introduce a new crop that gives players an entirely new farming operation centered around growing, harvesting, processing, and producing coffee-based goods. Alongside bananas, coffee plantations will become a major part of the Catuaí map, where players can establish plantations across its rolling hills and manage crops through five growth stages over an eight-month cycle.
The addition of Coffee plantations lets players use a dedicated planting system rather than conventional seeders, and a new boundary-painting feature lets players quickly establish large plantations by outlining an area, adjusting row orientation, and confirming the layout. Once planted, coffee plants can develop fungal disease, requiring players to use the KUHN AFS 600 sprayer to apply fungicide between the rows, with GPS guidance helping navigate the tightly spaced plantations.
Players can also disable the disease system if they prefer to focus on other aspects of coffee production in Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas. When the coffee cherries turn red, they are ready for harvest using the Case IH Coffee Express 200 Multi, which shakes the cherries from the plants, collects them on a belt, and separates leaves from the crop.
The narrow Colombo CTG 4500 can then work alongside a tractor to unload the harvester directly within the plantation, allowing the cherries to be transferred to larger trailers without repeatedly leaving the rows. The harvested cherries can be delivered to the Coffee Processing Plant, where they are dried and transformed into Coffee Bags that can be sold or used in further production.
Taking the Coffee Bags to the Coffee Roastery allows players to produce Coffee Capsules and Packed Coffee, opening several additional production routes across Catuaí. Once harvested, the Coffee Shop can turn coffee into beverages, while Packed Coffee can be combined with eggs and flour at the Bakery to produce Tiramisu.
Players can also send coffee to the Dairy, where it is combined with sugar and milk to create Coffee Yogurt, giving the Beans & Alpacas expansion a multi-stage production system that extends the value of coffee well beyond the initial harvest.
