Today, SCS Software released a new gallery of screenshots showcasing a really interesting part of the Nordic Horizon DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2
Specifically, the developer showcased Kiruna’s beautiful wooden church.
It would already be interesting on its own, as one of Sweden’s most beautiful and iconic buildings, but the real treat is the fact that it was relocated to make room for the expansion of Kiruna’s massive Iron Mine (which will be the game’s first underground depot).
Just last month, in August 2025, the whole church was lifted from its foundation and carried to a new place 5 km away, which is certainly a unique feat of engineering.
The DLC will reflect this with the church portrayed in its new location, as you can see in the screenshots below, which also show the mine that caused the relocation to begin with.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced. The PC version has recently been updated to version 1.56.
We don’t know when the Nordic Horizons DLC will release, but you can check out its gameplay reveal, on top of the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, the town of Andenes, and Kiruna.
To accompany the DLC, SCS is also working on a refresh of the Scandinavia DLC, of which you can enjoy the city of Aarhus and Motorway 16 in Denmark.
The Benelux region is also getting a rework, and we recently saw the port of Rotterdam and the city of Brussels.
The Iceland DLC was also announced a few weeks ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, on top of its churches.
Another interesting DLC will bring Coaches into the game, and we recently saw its bus stations and the Scania Touring.
