SCS Software officially revealed the UK Rework for Euro Truck Simulator 2, which was previously teased with a cheeky Tea-themed video.
In an official blog post, the developer mentions that over 20 map designers plus additional staff are involved in the rework as of now, that being said, development is still in the very early stages. As such, the images and footage you’ll see below are far from final.
Not only the region is being remade from scratch, but its scale is being changed to make it consistent with the rest of the game, as it was different from the rest of Europe when ETS2 was launched.
As a result, it’ll be a smaller area, but more detailed.
Iconic landmarks like Stonehenge are being added, and there will be new cities, including Leeds, alongside more tons and locations in Scotland.
Interestingly, the rework is being made keeping in mind the upcoming DLC dedicated to coaches, which will prompt the inclusion of tourist destinations.
Below you can enjoy a few screenshots and a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced. The PC version has recently been updated to version 1.56.
The development team is hard at work updating other areas of the map besides the UK, starting with the Benelux region’s rework, of which we recently saw the port of Rotterdam and the city of Brussels.
A refresh of the Scandinavian DLC is also coming in parallel, of which you can enjoy the city of Aarhus, Motorway 16 in Denmark, and Copenhagen.
The next paid regional DLC will be Nordic Horizons, and you can check out its gameplay reveal, on top of the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, the town of Andenes, Kiruna, its famous wooden church, and fjords and mountsins.
The Iceland DLC was announced a few weeks ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, in addition to its churches, and the Ring Road.
Another interesting DLC will bring Coaches into the game, and we recently saw its bus stations and the Scania Touring.
