Today, SCS Software officially announced Project Coaches, the next evolution for Euro Truck Simulator 2, adding buses to the game.
This comes after the tease from a couple of weeks ago, and the DLC can already be wishlisted on Steam.
The developers are currently working on several coach models with characteristic handling and a network of bus terminals across the map. Some old coach station prefabs are even being reworked.
The project is being handled by a dedicated team, so it won’t influence the development of the core game and other map expansions.
As expected, the expansion will focus more on long-distance coaches, as opposed to city buses, which would likely require a lot more work.
Below, you can check out a video in which the developers discuss the project and show off their research on real-world coaches.
We also get plenty of screenshots and renders of the buses being developed.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available exclusively for PC.
A refresh of the Scandinavia DLC is in the works alongside the Nordic Horizons DLC, of which you can check out the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, and the town of Andenes.
Speaking of reworks, the BeNeLux region is also getting one, and we recently saw the port of Rotterdam.
Last, but not least, an Iceland DLC has been announced yesterday.
Last, but not least, SCS Software also recently teased the upcoming addition of buses on top of trucks.
