Today, SCS Software announced another regional DLC coming for Euro Truck Simulator 2, and it’s Iceland.
The DLC is already listed on Steam for wishlisting, and we don’t yet know when it’ll be released. Normally, SCS Software only announces release dates when the actual launch is much closer.
Considering Iceland’s unique nature, it’s going to be very different compared to the existing map, much more focused on landscapes and vistas, with a sparse road network compared to urban areas.
That being said, the capital of Reykjavík and other settlements will be included, so there will still be cities to explore.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available exclusively for PC.
That being said, some features of update 1.55 have been tested recently, on top of a new Asynchronous Loading feature that should reduce stutters and improve smoothness. It’s worth mentioning that it wasn’t the official beta of version 1.55, which is likely to come at a later date.
A refresh of the Scandinavia DLC is in the works alongside the Nordic Horizons DLC, of which you can check out the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, and the town of Andenes.
Speaking of reworks, the BeNeLux region is also getting one, and we recently saw the port of Rotterdam.
Last, but not least, SCS Software also recently teased the upcoming addition of buses on top of trucks.
