SCS Software announced that Euro Truck Simulator 2 is finally getting dynamic cargo loading and unloading with the next update.
According to the reveal, the feature will be implemented within update 1.57 and debut at select depots (both custom and prefabs) in the Nordic Horizons DLC-
It will also be added to prefab-only depots in the rest of the base map and in other DLCs, while there will be one custom shipyard depot in Greece’s capital, Athens.
For the moment, it’ll be limited to logger trailers carrying Logs, Large Tubes, or Iron Pipes. It’ll be available at many sawmills, construction sites, material stores, steelworks factories, and more.
To use the feature, you’ll have to position your trailer correctly at the loading site, and the process will start automatically.
Once loaded, your GPS will automatically update with your destination, where you’ll have to select the “Where do you need it?” option to get pointed at the unloading point. Once positioned there, your trailer will be unloaded.
You can check out what the feature looks like below. Euro Truck Simulator 2 players have been waiting for a while after it was introduced exclusively in American Truck Simulator.

If you’re unfamiliar with Euro Truck Simulator 2, it’s a truck-driving simulator available for PC, but PS5 and Xbox versions have been recently announced.
The next paid DLC will be Nordic Horizons. You can already check out its gameplay reveal, on top of the landscapes, landmarks, the city of Oulu, the churches, the lakes of Finland, more roadside landmarks, the town of Andenes, Kiruna, its famous wooden church, fjords and mountains, and the Custom Depots.
In parallel, SCS Software is working on a refresh of the Scandinavian DLC, where you can enjoy the city of Aarhus, Motorway 16 in Denmark, Copenhagen, and Karlstad.
The development team is also hard at work updating other areas of the map, starting with the Benelux region’s rework, of which we recently saw the port of Rotterdam and the city of Brussels. The UK rework has also been recently announced.
The Iceland DLC was announced a few weeks ago, and you can enjoy additional screenshots, in addition to its churches, and the Ring Road.
Another interesting DLC will bring Coaches into the game, and we recently saw its bus stations and the Scania Touring.
