Earlier this week, Electronic Arts revealed the top 26-rated male and female players for the next installment in its hit football simulator, EA Sports FC 26. Today, they broke down the ratings list even further, detailing the best of the best in the MLS, NWLS, Men’s Bundesliga, and Women’s Bundesliga.
For Major League Soccer, Lionel Messi topped the list with an 86 ovr, with Heung Min Son and Rodrigo De Paul following closely behind him with 85 ovr and 84 ovr, respectively. Interestingly, most of the players on the list are transfers from bigger clubs that are closer to retirement, yet are still retaining their higher rating due to playing overseas in the MLS.
Its US counterpart, the National Women’s Soccer League, is led by Sophia Wilson (88 ovr), Débora C. de Oliveira (88 ovr), Rose Lavelle (87 ovr), and Ann-Katrin Berger (86 ovr). Additional local stars in the United States who made it to the list include Mallory Swanson (86 ovr), Trinity Rodman (85 ovr), and Vanessa DiBernardo (83 ovr).
The Men’s Bundesliga Top 3 is actually all from the same team, Bayern Munich, featuring Joshua Kimmich (89 ovr), Harry Kane (89 ovr), and Jamal Musiala (88). Its female counterpart, Frauen Bundesliga, also revealed three big players, each of whom are Bayern Munich attackers with the same overall rating of 86: Klara Buhl, Lea Schuller, and Pernille Harder, who also topped the leaderboard as the best players in the division.
