Next week, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are treating their tactical action game fans with a surprise demo of Dynasty Warriors: Origins. The free preview of the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S & Steam on November 22, 2025.
Alongside the demo’s announcement, a gameplay features trailer was also released, which we’ve included below. Players will take on the role of a martial artist with amnesia who travels across the Chinese continent to make a name for himself.
While on his journey, the warrior will meet various heroic figures in combat, which will be fueled by the series’ trademark 1 vs. 1,000 action fights. As always, there’s also a tactical element to each battle, as you’ll be able to plan out your fights beforehand with allies to make fights safer and more equal. This varies from skills to guard tactics to even more in-depth strategies.
Morale and Courage also play vital roles in the battles of Dynasty Warriors: Origins. When allies have high morale, their abilities increase, making them less likely to be defeated. Accomplish this by capturing strongholds and defeating enemies.
Higher Courage will cause forces to act with far more aggression toward their enemy, while low forms result in a much more passive approach to battle. Just be wary that this is true for both sides of the battlefield.
As you progress through Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you’ll unlock personal guards that you can command to help you. You can give these NPCs a wide variety of tactics before and during battles, some of which make them more aggressive and risky while others lend more toward defense and passiveness.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is set to release on January 17, 2025. For more information on the game, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
