Dragon Ball fans have a lot coming up, and a new four-versus-four MOBA tentatively called Dragon Ball Project: Multi is joining the lineup.
Bandai Namco released a beta test trailer for the game, which showed off some of the gameplay. Players will take control of a Dragon Ball character, fighting together to take the Dragon Ball from a top-down perspective. If you die, don’t stress – reviving is part of the game.
Some of the characters shown off in the trailer include Piccolo, Android 18, Krillin, Vegeta, Majin Buu, Trunks, Zamasu, Kid Gohan, and Goku. Players can customize the characters with cosmetics like entrance animations, finishers, and skins.
Characters will have specific abilities, and teammates can use them together for some nasty combos. Larger foes like Great Ape will also appear for players to take down, probably giving rewards to the team that takes them down.
Dragon Ball Project: Multi isn’t the final title, but it’s what the game is going by right now. There will be a regional test in Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States later this month. The specific dates and times are:
- UTC: August 20, 2024 at 6am to September 3, 2024 at 5:59am
- PDT: August 19, 2024 at 11pm to September 2, 2024 at 10:59pm
Most regions will be able to test the game on iOS, Android, and Steam. Those who want to participate in the beta test on Steam will need to request access. There’s no access link to do so yet, but keep an eye on the Steam page. For players in Germany and South Korea, the beta test will only be available on iOS and Android.
