Saber Interactive announced a new game today, and it’s Docked, defined as a “realistic” port management simulator.
The developer behind Roadcraft and SnowRunner announced via press release that Docked will be released for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, albeit a launch date has not been announced.
You’ll take on the role of the lead operator of a port facility tasked with taking care of your father’s dock following a devastating hurricane.
You won’t just need to manage the port’s facilities indirectly, but you’ll also have to get your hands dirty operating cranes and various kinds of machinery, and performing repairs when needed.
Among the machinery you’ll be able to enjoy there are colossal ship-to-shore cranes and heavy-duty tractors “created with realistic size, scale and precise handling at the forefront.”
Yet, to save the family business, you’ll also have to cover the managerial role, signing contracts, creating and nurturing logistical chains, and ensuring the profitability of the whole operation.
You can expand your dock with new lots and purchase new machinery, upgrade your fueling capacity, and your power supply.
It seems that the field of simulation is quite broad, and it’ll certainly be interesting to see how granular and actually realistic it’ll be.
You can check out what Docked looks like in the trailer below. We also have a few initial screenshots for your perusal.

Incidentally, if you’re interested in the adjacent naval simulation genre, you can also check out Seafarer: The Ship Sim. We just got the early access release date yesterday.
