Square Enix has revealed the release date for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, releasing the launch trailer at the same time and revealing six new playable characters.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is coming to iOS and Android on March 23, 2026. It’s available to pre-register for now. By doing so, players can unlock rewards, including the following:
- 20 Draw Tickets
- 3,000 MogPay Points
- Background Tracks
- Character Tickets
To celebrate the coming launch, Square Enix also released the launch trailer for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, which fans can watch below:
The trailer gives another look at combat and some of the characters and story. However, it also revealed six new characters joining the mobile game’s lineup. Those new characters are Onion Knight, Iroha, Firion, Balthier, Rikku, and Clive.

There’s also a tease at the end of the trailer, asking “Who are the next ‘Ghost,'” which is the name of the playable characters in the game. There may be more announcements about playable characters in the future, too.
Dissidia Duellum is a free-to-play, three-versus-three mobile combat game. The characters all come from the Final Fantasy franchise, and there’s a story involving all of them as they fight monsters in modern-day Tokyo.
Players will be able to obtain characters, their alternate modern-day outfits, and abilities through a gacha system.
If you’re interested in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, be sure to check out our experience with the closed beta of the game here. I thought the game was a wonderful quick, mobile battler that you can hop in for a quick match or two (or sit down and lose track of time — it’s that fun) that I’m excited to get back into on its March 23 release.
