Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja added the first original DLC character to grace their fighting game Dead or Alive 6 Last Round.
Her name is Minato, and she’s voiced by Shion Wakayama. She was released alongside a set of debut costumes as part of update 1.10.
She’s described as an “average, ordinary student” who lives in Tokyo. That being said, she is also “remarkably athletic and agile,” and she won a major international dancing competition. Whoever wrote her has a different definition than mine of “average” and “ordinary” that’s for sure.
While she found winning “nice,” she is more interested in how dancing brings people together.
She also carries out odd jobs for her friend NiCO as a part-time job. One of these jobs involves equipping a device that can recreate an opponent’s moves and participating in the Dead or Alive tournament. Her true objective is unknown.
Totally average and ordinary indeed. Watch her in action in the trailer below.
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s the definitive version of the original fighting game from 2019, optimized for the latest hardware, including five previously DLC characters: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki.
Guest characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond are also available as DLC.
If you’d rather not buy the whole game, the free-to-play Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters is also available on the same platforms.
Incidentally, DOA6 Last Round is pretty much just an appetizer to tide us over to the next big thing, as another fully new Dead or Alive fighting game is in development.
