Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will get the two SNK guest characters that appeared in the original game, Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond.
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round was announced in February, Koei Tecmo mentioned that they wouldn’t be included, and most thought this meant that they wouldn’t appear at all.
Turns out, they’ll still come as DLC purchasable separately. Pricing has not been revealed and will be shared at a later time.
In the meantime, you can find a trailer below, showing them in action.
We also learn about the “Oboro” version of the Lost Paradise stage. Oboro is a new lighting tech part of Koei Tecmo’s proprietary Katana Engine, and it offers “more realistic illumination created by natural ambient light and shadows.”
Oboro versions of other stages will be added progressively to the game.
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, it’ll release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on June 25, 2026. It’ll include the definitive version of the original fighting game from 2019, optimized for the latest hardware, plus the five previously DLC characters: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki.
If you’d rather not buy the whole game, the free-to-play Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters will also be available on the same platforms and dates.
Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO will be playable at launch, and the offering will include Photo Mode and the online modes DOA Quest and DOA Central.
Incidentally, this is just an appetizer, as another fully new Dead or Alive fighting game is in development.
