Crimson Desert Unveils 50-Minutes of Early Gameplay Footage Exploring the World of Pywel

Crimson Desert fans are eating good today, as developer Pearl Abyss revealed a massive video detailing early gameplay footage for their upcoming open-world action-adventure title. The 50-minute walkthrough gives players a bit of insight into the world of Pywel, as well as the landscapes, people and creatures that make up its populous.

You can check out the official gameplay walkthrough for yourself below, alongside some information on what you can expect from Crimson Desert experience-wise.

  • Seamless Open World – Explore the world of Pywel, following Kliff and his band of mercenaries across lush forests, medieval cities, quaint villages, and frigid mountains, and scorching deserts. Along the way you’ll encounter a slew of diverse characters that lead to unique and interesting questlines.
  • Traversal – Walk, run, climb, ride, or even glide through the air using a combination of unique flying abilities or even take to the sky in a hot air balloon.
  • Immersive Activities – Hunt, fish, craft, tame horses, and more alongside playing the single-player campaign to gather resources and experience what Pywel has to offer.
  • Intuitive Combat – Face monsters, humans, and all sorts of enemies using Kliff’s sword and shield, bow, or any weapon that is dropped by your enemies while also blocking jumping and parrying.

While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed for Crimson Desert yet, a window of Q2 2025 has been stated. We also know that it will only be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you simply can’t wait for the game, be sure to check out all of the previous trailers that have been released so far, including a handful of different interesting boss fights.
