Driven by a curiosity that borders on madness, Zenon Gryfgote delved into forbidden research, which resulted in his being cast out and entombed within the Insula Carcere, serving a sentence that exceeds ten thousand years.

He is introduced in the trailer below alongside a musical number – which he sings himself, of course – where he wills the protagonist to put their best foot forward and not give in to despair.

Code Vein 2 is the second installment in the saga, which takes players on an epic journey that features time travel, unique bosses, and a dynamic Partner System. You’ll step into the role of a Revenant Hunter that is revived by a Revenant girl, Lou MagMell, using her own heart, who wields the power to travel through time.

They soon embark on a mission to rewrite history and save the world, traveling across vast environments, including flooded ruins of the Sunken City, the Undead Forest, the isolated MagMell Island, and more. While exploring, you’ll recruit companions to help prevent the cataclysmic event known as the Resurgence.

So far, plenty of characters, boss fights, and story elements have been announced for the game, including companions like Noah G. MagMell, JosĂ©e Anjou, and Valentin Voda. A character creator demo is also coming a week before Code Vein 2’s official release, letting you carry everything over into the full game.

Code Vein II is launching on January 30, 2026, and is available now for pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). For more information, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates on this, other upcoming RPGs, and plenty more Bandai Namco properties.
