Today, Firaxis revealed a brand new version of its 4X strategy game, Civilization VII Settler’s Edition, which features a handful of new content and a significantly discounted price of $48.99. This will be available on Steam until August 25, 2025, after which it will then become a standard retail price of $119.99 or equivalent for your region.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Settler’s Edition features all content found in the Founders Edition, excluding only the Founders Cosmetic Pack, which is currently no longer available. - 4 Civilizations: Carthage, Great Britain, Nepal, Bulgaria

As you can see above, this also includes two new additions from the Civilization VII Deluxe Edition: Right to Rule Collection and new Founders Personas. You’ll now be able to use leaders like Genghis Khan and have access to Personas like Himiko, High Shaman.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII originally released back on February 11, 2025, for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Since its release, it has received mixed reviews, with many praising its diplomacy system overhaul while criticizing UI issues and the ages system.
As a result, the concurrent player base has struggled since launch, dropping as low as 5,000 for the first time in May 2025. The developers still plan to continue to support Civilization VII, with the next major content launch set for October, according to the 2025 roadmap.
