Irregular Shapes has released the TactiCon Update 0.2.0.8 for City Tales – Medieval Era, bringing a ton of improvements and new content for players to enjoy.
The first of these changes is a new map, Montalba Meadows. This scenic map has three different starting points for players to choose from.
Additionally, several UI systems were updated to make things look better than ever. This is particularly noticeable when placing and upgrading buildings, as well as in dialogue.
Additionally, the graphics in City Tales – Medieval Era have been improved, including more textures and colors, higher-density vegetation, better anti-aliasing, and more.
Other additions include new music, including two in-game tracks and a new main menu track. There are also twelve new decorations for players to use.
There’s also a new third game speed and the ability to rename companions whenever the player wants to. Plus, the cameras have had quite a bit of work done of them to make things smoother than ever.
There were several fixes as well, cutting down on glitches and bugs that players have experienced.
Players can watch a trailer for City Tales – Medieval Era TactiCon Update 0.2.0.8 below. Irregular Shades’ Game Director Rémi Malet talks through the changes and additions to the game:
The TactiCon Update was revealed in more depth earlier this month when Irregular Shapes shared a revamped roadmap. The indie developer wanted to focus a bit more on the UI and improving the games’ visuals instead of focusing on new content as it was previously thought.
City Tales – Medieval Era is currently available for PC in early access.
