The second of these highlights for the Cities: Skylines 2 Bridges & Ports expansion is all about the Ports, including the new Fishing and Offshore Oil industries, Shipping and Building, and many more features that make them up. You’ll be able to access all of these once you have unlocked the Water Transportation Menu.

Ports come in three sizes: Small Port, Medium Port, and Large Port. Each size has its own cost, building footprint, traffic, and building upgrades and extensions. In total, there are 21 sub-buildings, 12 storage facilities, two cargo cranes, and two auxiliary gates of varying size and function, which will unlock as you ship more cargo.

There are also five sub-buildings that are key to the shipping process: the Employee Canteen, Port Security, Emergency Response, Intermodal Train Station, and Passenger Terminal. Each of these has its own responsibilities and upgrades that you’ll need to keep an eye on and improve to keep things running.

Fishing Industry and Offshore Oil Industry Cities: Skylines 2 Bridges & Ports is another new feature that can be found in the Specialized Industry Menu. Through this, you’ll be able to build out their piers, storage facilities, and extraction areas to best utilize the resources on your map, and set up Pipelines, Boatways, and Routes to connect the main buildings and extraction areas.

Once complete, you can sit back and watch the waters of your city come to life with fishing boats and oil tankers. Speaking of important boats, the waterways will also have ferries connecting your passenger port area to the rest of the city, allowing your citizens and tourists to hop on water taxis to get around.

The Bridges & Ports expansion will launch on PC (via Steam) on October 29, 2025, and requires the base game to play. Cities: Skylines 2 is currently available on PS5, GeForce Now, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for a price point of $49.99.
