Following the announcement of its financial results for Q1 of the fiscal year 2025, CD Projekt, the popular developer of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher provided some interesting details about its future.
During the livestreamed Q&A Session, we heard that the developer has three unannounced projects in the pipeline, which are projects that have not been mentioned at any time (so they don’t include the new IP codenamed “Hadar” nor the mobile game in collaboration with Scopely).
We also hear that 2 of these projects are gaming projects, and one is not. No further detail was provided about these projects, besides the fact that they’re considered in development according to financial standards, so we’ll have to wait for further announcements in order to know more.
Incidentally, an analyst theorized that the newly-renamed Cyberpunk 2 (which was previously code-named Project Orion but has now officially been renamed Cyberpunk 2) would be released between late 2030 and early 2031 based on CD Projekt’s usual times.
CD Projekt’s executives replied that the developer usually takes 4-5 years from the start of pre-production to the final release of a game, but each project is unique, and many variables influence the final outcome, so they will not confirm specific years for Cyberpunk 2 at the moment.
Speaking of the mobile game in collaboration with Scopely, the developers declined to provide any further information on it.
