To celebrate the release of Squid Game 2, which came out on Netflix on December 6, 2024, Call of Duty is introducing a boatload of new in-game events and rewards centered around the show.
The collaboration begins today and will take place for console and PC players across multiple modes, including Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, as of today. To be exact, Call of Duty Squid Game 2’s crossover will take place over three weeks, from January 3 at 10 AM PT through January 24 at 10 AM PT.

The Call of Duty Squid Game 2 Event Pass will have two different tracks: free and premium. The latter is available for 1100 COD points ($9.99) and includes instant rewards like “Player 006” Operator Skin, “Player 115” Operator Skin and Loading Screen, Emblem, Sticker, Calling Card, the new Cleaver Melee Weapon.
Anyone who has watched Squid Game 2 will already have a leg up on the competition when playing the new game modes, which you can see listed below, alongside some in-game screenshots:

Red Light, Green Light is exactly what it sounds like, as players are placed onto a field and tasked with playing three rounds, each two minutes long. In round 1, the goal is to make it to the finish without getting caught.
The second and third rounds in Red Light, Green Light adds in weapons, allowing players to eliminate each other with melee attacks and finishers. There is also a Dead Light, Green Light mode that takes place in Zombie Mode (Liberty Falls & Citadelle des Morts), which adds in Essence (currency) to help you buy weapons and eliminate the waves of zombies.
Pentathlon and Squid Game Moshpit tasks players with surviving multiple different game modes in succession, including Squid Game-themed takes on your favorite Call of Duty game modes. You can also squad up and play Warzone, which will have challenges thrown in at the end of every round, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for Young-hee.
Lastly, there are plenty of unique bundles and skins introduced with Call of Duty Squid Game 2. The Pink Guards Tracer Pack, VIP Tracer Pack, and Young-hee Tracer Pack feature various weapons, blueprints, and finishing moves and can be unlocked using either track.
