The announcement mentions that the game will be added to the service tomorrow, July 24, 2024. It’ll be available on Game Pass for console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate.

This means that subscribers will be able to play it on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Released in November of 2023, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III offers both a single-player campaign and multiplayer gameplay. It also comes accompanied by ite Warzone battle royale mode, but that’s free-to-play regardless of whether you’re subscribed to Game Pass or not.

It’s developed by Sledgehammer Games, which received assistance from many other studios owned by Activision, including Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Beenox, Raven Software, High Moon Studios, and Toys for Bob (albeit Toys for Bob isn’t owned by Activision anymore, and has turned independent as of May 2024).

Treyarch also developed the Zombies mode, but it’s not the classic version, having been replaced by an open-world Warzone-style map.

The round-based Zombies mode will return in the next Call of Duty, Black Ops 6, which is releasing on October 25, 2024, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4, developed by Treyarch and Raven Software.

While Game Pass subscribers had to wait a long time to get Modern Warfare III following the $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft completed last year, Black Ops 6 will come to the service as soon as it releases.
