Independent developer Fabraz and Atari have announced the release date for Bubsy 4D, putting Bubsy back in the hands of players in 3D for the first time in 30 years on May 22, 2026.
Bubsy 4D follows Bubsy T. Bobcat as he tries to take back the Golden Fleece that was stolen from him by the Baabots. Players will run, jump, glide, and roll their way through various planets in the 3D platformer.
Across the planets, players can discover outfits, new move blueprints, and even online time trials. Old friends will also make an appearance again, including Terri, Terry, Virgil, and Oblivia.
At the end of each world, they’ll go against a BaaBot boss before moving on to the next planet.
Fabraz and Atari revealed a new trailer to celebrate the release date for Bubsy 4D, which players can watch below:
Pre-orders for Bubsy 4D are also open for Nintendo players. The platformer will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The physical Pawsome Edition comes with the game, artbook, and poster for players to enjoy.

The humor of Bubsy returns with Bubsy 4D, and the wild bobcat himself shared comments about his upcoming game:
“Get ready for the comeback you never saw coming. It’s no secret that I’ve got a questionable track record, but Atari and Fabraz are determined to give me the game I’ve always deserved. This time, my claws are out and I’m ready to show off.”
