While Pearl Abyss has found massive success with Crimson Desert, the developer continues to work on its MMORPG Black Desert without any slowdown.
During an event in Korea, the developer revealed new content and features coming to the MMORPG in all of its incarnations: the new Agent class.
Interestingly, the Agent is actually Eddie, the long-lost brother of Deadeye. That being said, he’s not the bookish and shy boy that was originally described, but he’s not a hyper-trained and rather handsome combatant.
Below you can check out two trailers introducing him and showing off his combat skills, alongside a third video including commentary from the developers.
We also get a new look at the next endgame zone that will come to Black Desert, Edania Part II. It’s so endgame that we’re going to fight the Gods.
We also get to see the rewards for those who will best them, including an absolutely snazzy fiery armor, aptly named Godslayer’s Armor.
Speaking of the endgame, Pearl Abyss has come up with a set of ways to streamline progression, allowing new players to reach advanced content without needing to grind just as much as they have done so far.
You can hear all the details about this “Hyperboost” from the lion’s mouth in the video below, but make sure to turn cc on if you can’t understand Korean. The video nhas subtitles for your perusal.
On to something definitely less serious, Pearl Abyss released a new summery outfit, Lifeguard. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and you can see it in the trailer below.
Black Desert is available for PC (called Black Desert Mobile) for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and Xbox One (simply called Black Desert) and for iOS and Android (called Black Desert Mobile).
