We hear that the protagonist Yumia Liessfeldt joins the Aladiss Research Team that aims to discover the mysteries behind the cataclysm that destroyed the continent of Aladiss.

The team includes researchers, adventurers, and mercenaries, who explore ancient ruins across the three regions of the continent.

The game starts in the Ligneus region, home to the first base of the Team. It includes plains and forests and sites like the Arbor Botanical Garden and the 8th Laboratory.

The Sivash region features mushroom-like flora and is inhabited by the demihuman Welleks people on top of the Neru people, monsters with a slender silhouette and mushroom-like umbrellas. In this region, you’ll find the Preces Cathedral and the ruined Hermea Academy.

The Auruma region includes the ruins of a once-thriving city. It includes a tree-like metal structure, the commercial district and its station, and the Mana Transposing Furnace. It’s inhabited by the bird-like Geni tribe.

Today we also get to see the opening cutscene and hear the theme song, on top of plenty of screenshots.

Koei Tecmo also showcased plenty of gameplay in a livestream from Japan, including a look at the settings that are pretty advanced, letting you customize pretty much every aspect of gameplay. There’s also a level of difficulty selection from Easy to Very Hard.

Toward the end of the livestream we also get to see the inevitable costumes. It is a Koei Tecmo game, after all. We also see the ability to change Yumia’s hair color coming with the (just as inevitable) season pass.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will be released on March 21, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

It’s not the only Atelier game in development, as Koei Tecmo and Gust are also working on Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian.
