Today, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2025. The game will be available in two editions on launch day: Standard Edition (both physical and digital) for $59.99, and Premium Edition (digital only) is $99.99.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Nintendo Switch 2 is optimized for all play modes, letting players use it in both docked and handheld modes, and it features touch-screen support. This version will also include all content updates introduced since the game’s release, except for the Claws of Awaji expansion, which is arriving early next year.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will boast cross-progression across all platforms through Ubisoft Connect, meaning you can play across multiple consoles if you own the game on each. When speaking about the port, Game Director Charles Benoit spoke about how excited they were to be able to bring the game to Nintendo fans:

“We are delighted to bring Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Nintendo players,” said Benoit. “Whether slipping through the shadows as Naoe or facing foes head-on as Yasuke, players will be able to roam the streets and rooftops of feudal Japan at home or anywhere their journey takes them on Nintendo Switch 2.”

Since its release back in March 2025, the game has continued the success of the Assassin’s Creed series, serving as the best-selling game in the US for that month and eventually crossing the 5 million players mark as of July 2025.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is currently available on Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS5 Pro, Amazon Luna, Macs with Apple silicon (Mac App Store), and Windows PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store).
