Embark Studios has released Update 1.36 for Arc Raiders, introducing a few new outfits, new matchmaking logic, a crossover with The Finals, and more.
To start with, Solo, Duo, and Trio squads have new matchmaking logic. Now, matchmaking will take into account the playstyle history of players in each kind of lobby. For example, if someone is a friendly Solo player but more dominant when playing with their regular trio, then they’ll be put into calmer Solo rounds and more competitive Trio rounds.
Prior to this update, matchmaking took a few rounds before adjusting to the player (or squad’s) playstyle. This change came because it was one of the most requested features in the matchmaking survey Embark dove into in May.
A new crossover between Arc Raiders and The Finals is also in Update 1.36. By completing contracts in The Finals, players can unlock the Azimuth outfit and Archaeologist backpack bundle in Arc Raiders. This will last from July 9, 2026, to July 30, 2026.
After July 30, the games will be flipped — players can complete missions in Arc Raiders to unlock the Azimuth bundle in The Finals. For those who have never played The Finals, it’s a free FPS for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Arc Raiders Update 1.36 also includes a shop redesign, the Expedition 4 – Zenith Outfit, Trials Season 5 – Scorta Outfit, and The Triumph Set.
Other changes were also included in the update, including the following:
- Better loot dropped by Arc Turbines
- Weapons on the ground now show installed mods
Players can check out the entire patch notes here, which also include a list of known problems and updates about fair play, anti-cheat efforts, and item duplication prevention.
Arc Raiders Update 1.36 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
