A few months ago, Japanese airline ANA debuted two super-cute safety videos to be played during flights of its Pokémon Jets, but the company just announced that they will be much more ubiquitous.

Originally, you’d have to be quite lucky to experience the videos on a flight, as they were broadcasted exclusively on the two airliners decorated with the new Pokemon liveries, the “Pikachu Jet NH” Boeing 787-9 with registration JA894A, and the “Eevee Jet NH” Boeing 777-300ER with registration JA784A.

Yet, the plans have changed, and starting now until May 31, 2025, the videos will be featured on all ANA flights, both domestic and international. This means that you’ll be able to enjoy some Pokémon joy even if you don’t luck out and get to fly on one of the aircraft with the special livery.

The two videos include a safety video with narration both in English and in Japanese, in which Pikachu and a team of other Pokémon demonstrate the safety procedures and a Disembarkation video in which Pikachu gets lost at Tokyo Haneda International Airport after leaving the aircraft.

They’re both incredibly cute, and you can watch them below.

ANA’s collaboration with Pokémon has a long and beloved tradition that started all the way back in 1998 with a Boeing 747 and two Boeing 767 featuring the popular characters on their liveries.

The trend of airliners with Pokémon-themed liveries, affectionately called “Pokémon Jets” by fans, has returned under the spotlight a few years ago after a pretty long hiatus via the Pokemon Air Adventures initiative created to promote tourism and travel.

Several airlines in Japan including Skymark, Solaseed Air, and Air Do, and in Asia, including China Airlines, Scoot, Garuda Indonesia, and T’way, fly airliners starring Pokémon characters.

ANA is also particularly beloved among fans for having flown the most popular Pokémon Jet of all time, the beloved “Pikachu Jumbo” JA8957 which debuted in 2004. The beautiful 747-481D was beloved due to its massive size and striking yellow color.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and it was eventually retired in 2013, but it still holds a special place in the hearts of many fans and travelers.

In other news involving airliners and gaming characters, recently Sega and Air Asia launched jets featuring Persona 5 Royal and Sonic liveries.
