American Truck Simulator South Dakota DLC Officially Announced

American Truck Simulator South Dakota DLC

SCS Software officially announced another new state DLC for American Truck Simulator, and it’s South Dakota.

The Mount Rushmore State was teased a few days ago without being officially confirmed, but today we do get the official confirmation and a trailer.

The trailer showcases some of the most interesting landmarks of South Dakota, and there’s plenty to see.

At the moment, we don’t know when the DLC will be out. It usually takes a few months between reveal and release, and we’re going to see plenty of screenshots before we get there.

You can check it out below.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2

The next DLC to launch is likely Iowa, and you can check out its fields, the truck stopsthe towns, the road networkmore settlements, the bridgesan Ethanol plant, and the farming industry.

We also saw plenty of gameplay showing a route from a feedmill depot near Waterloo to an agricultural facility close to Iowa City.

SCS Software also recently revealed Illinois, of which you can see the truck stops and the city of Marion. Another DLC that we know is coming is Louisiana, and we saw its truck stopswelcome centersbuildings, and some cities.

Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.

Last, but not least, a few weeks ago, we saw the free addition of the Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition, while the Freightliner Cascadia will get a big upgrade with update 1.55, which will likely be released soon.
