SCS Software showcased new images of the upcoming rework of the historical Route 66 in American Truck Simulator.
The rework, which was announced a while ago, includes many cities rebuilt from the ground up to enhance their accuracy and to bring them up to par with the latest technology.
We read that other cities, like Winslow, have been added from scratch. We also get to see existing but reworked locations like Kingman, Holbrook, Flagstaff, Gallup, Albuquerque, and Tucumcari.

American Truck Simulator is available for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are also coming. Update 1.57 for PC has recently been made available.
Louisiana is the next DLC to be released, and it already has a launch date set for December 4, 2025.If you’d like to see more, you can also enjoy Louisiana’s extensive gameplay reveal, its truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, some cities, more settlements, its forests and wetlands, more cities, the bridges, the road network, Port Fourchon, Shreveport, the custom depots, even more custom depots, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, the ferries, the drawbridges, and Avery Island.
Illinois is likely coming after Louisiana, and you can check out its truck stops, the city of Marion, Rockford, Quincy, even more truck stops, Moline, Peoria, and Champaign.
South Dakota should come after, and we already saw its Truck Stops, countryside, towns, and cities.
The game will soon cross the borders of the United States and go to Canada with the British Columbia DLC.
Another big project is the Road Trip feature, spearheaded by the Ford Car Pack (of which we also saw the Ford Crown Victoria), which will expand the simulator’s experience from trucks to cars and pickup trucks, including pure exploration and the delivery of smaller packages.
