The reveal focuses on the city of Rockford, which is about an hour and a half away from Chicago.

The developer’s map design team has put a lot of work into representing well-known landmarks to make the city recognizable, including a local hotel, a historic theater, many unique churches, a college, the Justice Center, Rockford’s East Center, both the old and new City Halls, a school, and several public sculptures.

Of course, the city also has plenty of work to seek, including four depots in Rockford proper, a road garage, two warehouses, and a chemical oil facility.

Four more companies are available outside of city limits: a wind power plant, an electric substation, a farm, and a quarry.

You can check out all the screenshots below.

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2.

We don’t know when Illinois will release, but we already saw its original reveal, its truck stops, and the city of Marion.

The next DLC is likely to be Iowa, and you can already check out its fields, the truck stops, the towns, the road network, more settlements, the bridges, an Ethanol plant, the farming industry, and its river ports.

We also saw plenty of gameplay showing a route from a feedmill depot near Waterloo to an agricultural facility close to Iowa City.

SCS Software also Louisiana, of which we saw its truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, and some cities. The latest announcement was South Dakota.

Perhaps the most interesting recent announcement is the Road Trip mode, which will let you drive pickup trucks and other vehicles in the same world that has been reserved for cargo transport until now, including new reasons to drive and explore.
