The 2025 Pokémon Europe International Championships came to a close this past weekend, and first and second place winners were announced across the franchise’s physical and virtual games.
When it comes to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are three divisions. The Junior Division winners are Oliver Cahill (first place, UK) and Andreas Ketels (second place, BE). The Senior Division winners are Gabriel Fernandez (first place, BR) and Nathan Osterkatz (second place, US).
Then, there’s the Masters Division. The winners at this level are Ryuki Okada (first place, JP) and Natalie Millar (second place, AU).
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the current Video Game competition titles. There are three divisions here as well. The Junior Division winners are Fabian Musikant (first place, DE) and Ismael Hoggui (second place, FR). The Senior Division winners are Ian Larson (first place, US) and Louis Fontvielle (second place, FR).
The Masters Division winners are Wolfe Glick (first place, US) and Dylan Yeomans (second place, UK).
Pokémon GO and Pokémon Unite were also featured at the event. The Pokémon GO winners are Leo “P4T0M4N” Marín Torres (first place, ES) and Cedric “Zzweilous” Voigt (second place, DE).
The Pokémon Unite winners are Luminosity (first place, North America) and Peru Unite (second place, Latin America – South).
The next step for most of these competitors is the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, which will be held from August 15 to 17 in Anaheim, California. This will be an in-person event that fans can attend.
The spectator interest registration will open in March. Everyone who registers their interest is entered into a drawing to purchase tickets. Pokémon revealed a trailer for the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, which fans can view below:
There are also three episodes coming to the Pokémon docuseries Road to Worlds. These episodes follow players, casters, and Pokémon Professors as they dive into their past endeavors and future goals in the Pokémon community.
Starting March 7, an episode will come out every Friday for three weeks on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. The first episode is titled “Best in the World.”
