Paradox will soon launch All Under Heaven, the biggest expansion ever for Crusader Kings 3, including China, Japan, Korea, and more of the Far East.
It’s certainly a big diversion from the previously mostly Euro-centric game, and it brings plenty of new mechanics.
To learn more about the expansion, Simulation Daily talked to Crusader Kings 3 Producer Maria-Lucia Dzediti and QA Lead Riad Deneche at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
We hear the reasons why the developers decided to build wide instead of continuing to build tall, whether we can expect the recent survey to be an indication of things to come with Chapter 5 and onward, a discussion on some of the specific mechanics introduced in All Under Heaven, and much more.
The developers shared plenty of interesting insight on the expansion, and you can enjoy all of it in the video below.

If you’re unfamiliar with Crusader Kings 3, it’s a grand-strategy game with extremely compelling RPG elements, available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
That being said, expansion and updates usually come to consoles much later, as happened with previous DLC.
All Under Heaven follows the Khans of the Steppe expansion and will release for PC on October 28, 2025. Console release dates have not been announced and we’re not expecting them for a while.
