These Doomed Isles, a roguelike city-building simulation game, is leaving Early Access and officially launching later this month. The 1.0 update comes with new content and a trailer to celebrate.
On October 30, These Doomed Isles will get its launch 1.0 update, leaving the pretty positive Early Access period it’s had since last year. The new content adds several new ways for players to enjoy the game.
New campaign missions will be available for each of the four playable Gods. These missions (eight or nine depending on the God) introduce players to the Gods’ gameplay and basic mechanics.
Ascension Mode will change to Challenge Mode. Essentially, this is the same thing with four pre-set difficulty modes. Additionally, players can earn Miracle Credits that unlock Perks and cards for the next Challenge Mode runs. Challenge Mode itself is a series of challenges that scale in difficulty, letting players challenge themselves.
Additionally, several bug fixes are being addressed, and the UI while creating decks is getting a makeover.
These Doomed Isles is a roguelike city-builder that utilizes deck-building mechanics to create settlements in different runs. Players can choose four Gods to play as, which influences the decks:
- Plutus, the Greek God of Wealth
- Acan, the Mayan God of Wine
- Cernunnos, the Celtic God of Nature
- Inari, the Japanese God of Rice and Prosperity
