Today, Sega showed off the official story trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations. The title is set to arrive for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam & Epic Games Store) on October 25.
The game serves as a prequel to the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, starring Keanu Reeves as Shadow, which is set to release in theaters on December 20, 2024. A brand new trailer for the movie also released last month, giving fans a glimpse at what the beloved anti-hero would look like in his silver screen debut.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sees the return of Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and Knuckles (Idris Elba) for the voice cast. Jim Carrey (Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik), James Marsden (Tom), and Tika Sumpter (Maddie) will also be back for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in their live-action roles.
