As we inch closer to the colder months, it only makes sense that EA Sports is back with another deep dive, as we once again head back to the ice in NHL 25. Similar to their Madden and Sports FC trailers, this deep dive is all about the changes that are coming to the next installment in the yearly sport’s game’s franchise mode.
Navigation has been improved considerably for NHL 25, as the franchise hub streamlines sorting through different menus to find relevant information. Now, you’ll be able to access box scores, player stats, an award tracker, an updated league ticker, and a goals and challenges display quick and easy.
Alongside this, coaching feels much more realistic, as you’ll have more freedom to interact with players and conversing about contracts. This ranges from everything from changing a player’s style to implementing No Trade and No Movement clauses. Negotiation enhancement features like making promises or counters also makes for a much more intuitive and realistic approach to signing players.
Earlier this month, EA also showed off the complete gameplay overhaul fans can expect from the AI in NHL 25. That includes plenty of new logic and on ice animations, all thanks to the brand new Ice-Q feature.
NHL 25 releases for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation on October 4, 2024. For more information on the title leading up to its release, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates and all of your EA Sports gaming needs and news.
