OPNeon Games just released the early access version of another simulator, and it’s a wacky one, TCG Card Shop Simulator.
The game, which can now be purchased on Steam for $11.69, does pretty much what it says on the tin.
It lets you design, open, and manage your trading card game shop, tweaking the shopping and gaming experience to make your customers happy.
The cards sold in the shop are from a fictional game named Tetramon and you can even open booster packs for yourself and collect the whole lineup, deciding whether you keep your rare cards or sell them to boost your finances.
It also comes with little comedic moments as you’re prompted to spray deodorant on particularly ripe players at your tables.
As your business expands, you can enlarge your store, unlock new card sets, add furniture, and so forth. It’s certainly an interesting take on the simulation genre.
The trailer below is a bit old and a new one wasn’t released to celebrate the early access launch, but it provides a good idea of the gameplay.
Incidentally, the release comes a bit as a surprise, considering that it was expected for September 25. Apparently, things went faster than expected.
For those who already played the prologue version, here’s a list of features added in the early access version (SIC).
