Pathea Games, the studio behind the popular My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock, revealed that its next game, My Time at Evershine, is coming to Kickstarter later this month.
The title reveal and Kickstarter announcement weren’t unexpected. Fans knew a third My Time game was on the horizon. Plus, Pathea has used Kickstarter for both other My Time titles.
According to the prelaunch announcement, Pathea is planning for My Time at Evershine to improve on the series. It’s planning to spend nearly $12 million, a similar amount that it spent on My Time at Sandrock.
A Kickstarter campaign means that Pathea can see what additional resources it’ll have to develop every feature it wants to. According to Pathea, this also lets them ensure there are major improvements in gameplay, animation, graphics, and performance.
My Time at Sandrock was a massive improvement in every way compared to My Time at Portia. The budget of each game reflects that. However, both games were well received, and the third one is already highly anticipated in the community.
There’s no information quite yet about what My Time at Evershine will include. However, the Kickstarter prelaunch page calls it a “cozy sandbox simulation RPG.” The other two My Time games were also sandbox simulation RPGs, and the addition of cozy to this title could indicate that things will be cozier this time around.
The official announcement for My Time At Evershine and the Kickstarter page should come later this month.
