Aerosoft is about to release its highly anticipated Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and today it was showcased in all its glory in a new trailer.
The video provides an look at several areas of the airport in action, including all the terminals, the aprons, the hangars, and the runways.
On top of that, we also get to see the terminal interior, which looks absolutely amazing in the level of detail it provides. I’ve traveled through Frankfurt airport many times, and I definitely recognized both a couple of specific places and the overall atmosphere.
The level of quality should not surprise considering that its creator is Jo Erlend, alongside Lukas Vezyroglou. Erlend is known for the extreme quality of his airports and has worked on some of the best available for the simulator.
You can check out what I mean in the trailer below.
As mentioned last week, the airport will release on September 5. Aerosoft will host a livestreamed launch event at 18:00 Zulu time and accompanying events will be held on both VATSIM and IVAO to make sure both ATC networks will have plenty of traffic for simmers to enjoy.
If you’d like to see more, you can check out another video, and one more.
With nearly 60 million passengers served in 2023, Frankfurt is the main international and intercontinental hub in Germany, located just a few kilometers from the country’s fifth-largest city. Of course, it also serves plenty of domestic flights.
Not only is it the main base of the German flag carrier Lufthansa, but it also hosts a multitude of airlines from all over the world, including passenger and cargo operations.
