The second anniversary of the early access release of Palworld is today, and Pocketpair is celebrating by sharing teasers for the upcoming 1.0 update, including a look at new Pals and a glimpse at the infamous and mysterious Whale Pal and World Tree.
To start with, the concept art for several new and adorable Pals was shared. Since it’s really teasing the art, there’s no information about the type of Pals they are or even their names.
Nevertheless, players can check out the start for some of the new Pals below:

That’s not all — the teaser included a look at the World Tree. In case you didn’t know, the World Tree has been an inaccessible part of the map in Palworld that’s been shrouded in mystery.
The tree itself is massive, and the new teaser shows that it’s full of a glowing blue power that should look familiar to players. After all, that glowing blue energy is seen quite a bit in the game, like when a Pal is being caught or summoned.
That’s not the only place there’s glowing blue energy — the newest look at the Colossal Whale also shows it glowing with similar energy through markings on its body. If you’re not caught up with the latest Palworld lore, the Colossal Whale is one of the Pals that was shown off prior to Palworld’s early access release. It’s not in the game yet, unless you count the skeleton of it that can be found in Palpagos Island.
Palworld players can check out the 1.0 teasers in the second anniversary celebration video below:
The Palworld 1.0 release is scheduled for 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. There’s plenty coming in the meantime, such as the cozy spin-off game Palworld: Palfarm and the official card game.
