Tavern Keeper, a management sim where players run a cozy fantasy tavern, has revealed an early access release date with a fun, bright trailer.
Tavern Keeper will enter Steam Early Access on November 5, 2024, but players have several different ways to get a look at what’s to come.
The trailer shows off the graphics and bustling tavern scenes that players can look forward to. This includes several different environments and weather conditions, such as foggy rain, sandy deserts, and swamplands.
There are also multiple scenes about the workers you can hire. In a fantasy world, not much is off-limits. Seeing a skeleton, ogre, or even a witch pour ale is perfectly normal. Players will be able to hire help around the tavern, each with different specializations. The trailer shows server skills, chef skills, janitor skills, and dogsbody skills.
Cooking is another fun feature that players will need to carefully manage. From planning the menu to gathering the right ingredients, the food itself is an important part of tavern life. Just don’t be surprised when guests like skewered rats on their plate – it is a rowdy tavern crowd, after all.
Of course, creating an entertaining environment is just as important as having good drinks and food. From the trailer, it looks like players will be able to hire bards, create game spaces, open up axe-throwing areas, and more to keep guests entertained.
Tavern Keeper will also have a single-player campaign that focuses on bringing help to various characters. There are plenty of situations that can pop up from time to time in your tavern, too. Different combinations of systems in the game can create different scenarios.
