During CD Projekt’s financial Q3 2025 financial conference call for investors and analysts, the studio’s executives provided new details about their plans and business, including The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, and more.

We heard during the livestreamed Q&A that while CD Projekt will be present at The Game Awards 2025 due to the nomination of The Witcher 4 as Most Anticipated Game, they will not showcase any new content.

The executives on the call confirmed that The Witcher 4 won’t launch in 2026 and declined to provide any information about release targets. The game is “in full-scale production, going at its own pace,” according to plans.

We also hear that the company is happy about its work on Unreal Engine 5, and expects the cadence of the release of the Witcher games following 4 to be faster compared to the past. The plan is still to release the whole trilogy within a 6-year period after Witcher 4 releases.

Moving on to Cyberpunk 2, the developer is happy about the progress in the pre-production phase, but it’s too early to talk about entering a new stage of development.

Sirius (a multiplayer game in The Witcher universe) is still in development, while Hadar (a new RPG IP) is still in an “IP Pre-production” team. The development team working on The Witcher 1 Remake is a “smaller group of people” at this moment in time.

Interestingly, we also get a comment on the launch on PlayStation Plus of Cyberpunk 2077. While the executives admitted that there always is a hit to sales when you launch on subscription platforms, since only the base game was provided, it’s an opportunity to upsell the Phantom Liberty expansion, and the whole operation was good for the bottom line of the company.

We then heard about the use of AI tools, which CD Projekt uses “mainly in the productivity areas” where they see “real and meaningful benefits.” Yet, it won’t “make games” like Witcher 5 or 6 and so forth.
