We already knew that the game was multiplatform since it was revealed in June 2025, but today we learn one more details. It’ll come across PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. We also get the confirmation that it’ll be made in Unreal Engine 5.

The press release also mentions that it’s being developed in partnership between Shift Up itself and Tencent subsidiary Yongxing Interactive, which is defined as a team made of industry veterans dedicated to developing top-quality games and specialized in ACG games.

If the term “ACG Games” is unfamiliar to you, it’s used in Asia to describe games inspired by subcultures like anime and manga and their East Asian equivalents, it simply styands for “Animation, Comics, and Games.”

This is the second time that Level Infinite and Shift Up collaborate for the global publishing of a game developed by Kim Hyung Tae, studio, as it already happened with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, while Stellar Blade was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The co-development deal on top of the publishing deal aim to achieving even greater synergy between the two companies, with the goal to deliver next-generation gaming experiences around the world.

We recently learned that the developers aim for a release window “after 2027,” so we’ll have to wait for quite a while to get our hands on the game.

In the meanwhile, you can take another look at the only official art released for Project Spirits (which was initially code-named Project Witches) below.
