Frontier Developments has revealed that Update 1.1 for Jurassic World Evolution 3 is coming next week, and it’s bringing a slew of changes and a dinosaur from the previous franchise entry.
The Kentrosaurus will be joining the lineup in Jurassic World Evolution 3 with Update 1.1, making it the first returning base game dino from the previous game in the series.
The Kentrosaurus is known for its armored plates and iconic spikes that protrude from its spine and sides. As herbivores, they can coexist with Sauropods and Ornithomimosaurids. The Dinosaur Database will be updated soon to include the new family unit.
Other dinosaurs from Jurassic World Evolution 2 will also come to the latest game every month. Until January 2026, Jurassic World Evolution 3 will get a new family unit of dinosaurs from the second game every month for free.
Update 1.1 will also include several changes to optimize the game and remove bugs. Some of the changes include the following:
- Dinos can travel around scenery items more easily
- More keyboard shortcuts when placing/moving scenery
- New Very High Settings, and updated the pre-existing Very High Settings
- New guest food scattering animation
- New help screens
- New biome filter label for some scenery items
Specific bug fixes will be revealed as the update gets closer to release. Players can check here for more detailed changes that will be part of the update.
There’s not an exact date for Update 1.1 yet, though it will be sometime next week, and it’ll be released on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S) simultaneously.
