Pocketpair has announced that Palworld will be leaving early access in 2026, getting a full release with several surprises planned. The developer also addressed its future and the state of Palworld at the same time.

Pocketpair discussed the future of Palworld and why it chose a full release over new content. The goal is to address the bugs and problems within Palworld before its full release.

This plan means that the developers will be working on doing this for the rest of the year, so Pocketpair will be a bit quiet. The upcoming Winter update will reflect this, and the content added will be less than that of the last Winter update in 2024.

Presumably, this is important to discuss as Pocketpair is always being watched because of the lawsuit between it and Nintendo. Pocketpair is making sure that players know what’s happening, as well as making sure everyone knows that development is still going strong.

With this being said, Pocketpair does have a few surprises up its sleeves for the Winter update. Additionally, Palworld 1.0 will have what Pocketpair alludes to as a lot of content, as well as the fixes and improvements. More news on the content coming will be teased (and eventually revealed) in the future.

Palworld Version 1.0 will be coming in 2026. While that’s a wide window, Pocketpair explained that it doesn’t want to rush development and instead lay a firm foundation to continue to build on.

Players can watch the announcement for Palworld Version 1.0 below. This is also where Pocketpair explains its plans, including its Pocketpair Publishing work, along with news that it has smaller development teams looking at future games.

Palworld is currently available in Early Access on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
