Last April, SCS Software showcased some of the truck stops slated for its Illinois expansion of American Truck Simulator, highlighting all the rest areas that would be included as part of the upcoming DLC. Today, even more content was unveiled, starting with the stops that make up the city of Rushville.
In the Rushville section of American Truck Simulator, you’ll find small shops and local businesses to explore, a shopping center just off I-90, and a small, peaceful location just off I-64 at the corner of the Prairie state. Just outside of Gilman along US-24, one of the biggest rest stops in the state can be found, boasting multiple places to rest and refuel for either a quick stop or an overnight stay.
Last but not least is the Effingham stop. This spot is home to plenty of shopping centers and malls, making it an ideal location for stocking up on supplies or taking a short break before you continue your long journey. You can take a look at some official screenshots of the locations mentioned above right here:

American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2, which has recently been updated to patch 1.55. Currently, there is still no release date for the Illinois DLC, but we know that SCS likes to announce dates only close to launch.
In the meantime, you can see some of the content already teased for the DLC, including the cities of Marion, Rockford, and Quincy. You can also check out info on the upcoming Louisiana DLC, which features its very own truck stops, welcome centers, buildings, cities, settlements, and forests and wetlands.
