Looking at the whole company, net sales were 300,430 million yen, up 7.1% year-on-year, according to the documents provided by Bandai Namco.

Operating profit was 51,921 million yen, up 17.9% year-on-year.

Specifically, the Digital Business, which is how Bandai Namco calls its video game business, recorded 107,770 million yen in net sales, up 1.4% year-on-year, and 21,704 million yen in segment profit, up 47.3% year-on-year.

Elden Ring Nightreign is defined as a “worldwide hit” (not too surprisingly), having sold 2 million units on its first day. The new Tamagotchi game was also popular due to the synergistic effect with the actual toy.

Sales of new video games during the quarter were 4.62 million units, while catalogue titles released before April 2025 sold 6.13 million units.

As for mobile games, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal got off to a “strong start” with over 6 million downloads, while major existing games based on Dragon Ball, One Piece, and The Idolmaster enjoyed steady performance.

The company intends to “continue to prioritize quality in the developmentt of titles that meet the expectations of our fans, and we will work to build a balanced and optimal title portfolio.”
